21st Riding Lessons Sign Up #2 May 21st 5-7 pm
Wednesday, 29th Homeschoolers Day At The Ranch; (For Ages 1-7– Enjoy Story Time and
Crafts inside from 9-10:30, Older Youth (Ages 8 and up) Learn the Basics of Grooming 9-11;
Families can feel free to bring A Picnic Lunch and enjoy the ranch with some planned group
games and activities available in the arena after lunch until 1 pm; $10 per family.) This is an
activity for the whole family with children in different age groups. There is limited Availability,
and they must Sign Up Ahead of Time with the # of children participating. Closed toe shoes
must be worn around the horses.

June
12th Grooming 101 9-10:30 A.M., Geared for 3rd-8th graders.$5 per youth
10-11 Two Day Camp: “Horsing Around 101: Understanding Horses Better camp will
focus on history of horses, grooming, and caring for horses. Geared for Grades K-6, $100 (for
both days includes lunch each day) Camps are from 9-4:30

20-21 Two Day Camp (Wildlife Adventures) : Learning about Iowa’s wildlife (K-6th) $100

Equine Care/Exploring Careers in the Equine World (July) Wolfe Ranch Staff
Learn about caring for and grooming horses, equine health care, and exploring different careers
in the equine field. Class will be working with horses at the Wolfe Ranch. Participants must wear
closed toe shoes (no flip flops or sandals allowed). Additional equine waiver must be completed
by parent or guardian. Grades 3 – 8

1-2 Two Day Camp A Day In The Life of A Knight–Geared for K-6th Learn About the Code
of the Knight, and Try on Real Knight’s Armor; enjoy Knight Activities, and Crafts ($100 includes
lunch both days) Camps are from 9-4:30). Must Pre-register
Monday, August 5th “Princess Tea”; 9-11 am Kids–Bring Your Favorite Grown-Up, Wear
your favorite princess dress and come have tea/refreshments at the ranch). Listen to Stories
about Princesses, Make Crafts, and Have your picture made with our favorite unicorn (pictures
are included). $25 per child; must pre-register.
19- Riding lesson #3 Sign Up 5-7 pm
8-18 Iowa State Fair

September
21 Pretty Pony Camp Girls, Come paint a real horse/pony, make crafts, and have a blast!
9:15-2 pm; $45.00;
28th Oktemberfest Parade

October
5th Cowboy Camp Boys, 9:15-2 pm; $45 Come be a cowboy for the day at the ranch; enjoy
working with ponies, play cowboy games, practice lassoing, and much more!
19th Harvest Party (Come Enjoy Wagon Rides, Games, and Have a Great Time as a Family or
Group at The Ranch. Also Enjoy our Chili Cook Off. More Details to be announced.

Beginning Riding Lessons

This 6 week session of lessons will cover grooming, putting on tack, mounting, leading, and basic riding skills.  Topics covered will be adjusted to fit the skill level of the participants.

Intermediate/Advanced Riding Lessons

This 6 week session of lessons are for students who have mastered all the basic skills taught in beginner lessons, and are ready to do increased trot and introduce the canter.
