Iam proud to be an adopted child and this experience is one of the reasons I entered and have stayed within the field of social work. I attribute my strength, honesty and dedication to the consistent love of my parents. I know I was given a gift when God choose my parents and have counted my blessings my entire life. I have been married to my handsome and loving husband for the past 26 years, and we have five fur babies (always looking to add more).
Debbie is our Office Manager here at the Wolfe Ranch of Quakerdale. She has been with Quakerdale for 15 years and is the voice you hear when you call the Ranch. Debbie creates patient appointments and handles our insurance billing in addition to the many other office duties that she does "behind the scenes".
Matt the Clydesdale gelding is the biggest horse at the ranch and he is the definition of a gentle giant! Matt loves treats, grass, brushing, and petting! You have to not only be careful of his big feet, but his big nose loves sneaking kisses too! He is a very large horse, so if you give this big itchy man some scratches you will have a best friend for life!
Sinbad is a draft horse cross and is as thick as he is tall! He's a gentle giant who will become your best friend in minutes! Although he is missing an eye making him the "pirate" of our crew, it doesn't bother him in the slightest and he loves attention! He may be big, but he sure thinks he's a lap dog!
Dreamer is a pure black Quarter Horse mare who absolutely adores everybody! Her sweet demeanor makes her perfect for cuddles and attention, which is her favorite thing! She is usually the first to meet you at the fence for some loving! Although she is petite with her little head and feet, she sure is mighty!
Gus is our youngest ranch horse! He is a dark bay Quarter Horse who loves rolling around, eating dandelions, and getting some nice scratches! He is a very playful horse who will always check to see if you have treats! Although he loves everyone, he isn't a big fan of photoshoots!
Jules is our barn cat, but is more importantly the “supervisor” of everything at the ranch! She loves to snuggle, get petted, and you can usually find her sleeping on the hay in the barn! If you're lucky, she may even come join us in the arena during riding lessons and camps!
Monte is the youngest member of our ranch kitty crew whom we adopted from the ARL in Marshalltown. He is a little nervous around new people, but once he gets to know you, he will be meowing for you to pet him!
Tabby is the oldest member of our ranch cats whom we also adopted from the ARL in Marshalltown. Although she doesn’t enjoy playing with her brother, her favorite thing to do is keep Debbie company in the office sharing her desk chair!
