Come for the company. Stay for the purrs.
Settle into our cat lounge and spend a little time with adoptable cats. A quiet visit can mean a lot—to you and to them.
Part of the Wolfe Ranch family
Whiskers & Manes brings people and animals together in a peaceful setting, under the same caring roof as the ranch.
Plan your visit
Visits are by appointment. The lounge lists a $10 cover fee per person for one hour, helping house and care for the cats while they wait for homes. Reservation times usually start on the hour. Call 641-752-3912 to confirm your visit and current details.
Interested in adoption?
The cats you meet may change from visit to visit. Whiskers & Manes partners with the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown. Ask staff about the cats you meet, then follow the rescue’s application and approval process.
Give a little time
Volunteers help tidy the lounge, spend time with the cats, and welcome visitors. Contact the team to learn how you can help.
A gentle visit
Use quiet voices, let sleeping or eating cats rest, and leave your own pets at home. Children 15 and younger need adult supervision. Staff can help with handling and adoption questions.

Monte found a home here.
Adopted from the ARL in Marshalltown, this resident ranch cat takes time to warm up. Once he knows you, he’ll ask for attention with a meow.
